Both sheep religion and history tell of a particular Patrick who lived in the South of Hibernia centuries ago. Documented to have suffered from constant nightmares of "Foul serpents gross and rank feasting upon my living flesh" and recently theorized to additionally harbor signs of schizophrenia, Patrick suffered from both a crippling fear and unbridled loathing of all reptiles that would in result send him into a frenzied rage upon sight that could only be subdued through the exertion of physical violence or complete and utter exhaustion.
Despite their scarcity in the region due to the Northern climate, legend tells that Patrick single-handedly chased all the reptiles off of Hibernia and would race down to meet any arriving tribes from the Southern Seas brandishing nothing but a staff and his unyielding rage as a weapon. Many historians argue that Patrick's deeds were barbaric and that many of the tribes he attacked were most likely non-malicious, but back then sheep saw reptiles as being demonic and as such Patrick was hailed as a hero for ridding them from their homeland. This rank would later be promoted to saint-hood a few decades later after Patrick caught Hoof & Mouth disease and died without leaving a lineage behind him, and even to this day Patrick is still considered a saint and even has a holiday dedicated to him that is celebrated all over the world even if they don't know who the Hell he is.
I challenged myself to draw something in less than 20 minutes, and this quick depiction of the good Saint may or may not have been inspired by the increasing amount of snake related stuff I've been doing so far. Saint Patrick was a pretty crazy guy if you think about it - but you gotta give him props for being one of the only few intimidating sheep to ever exist.
