Sergals have an amazing inexplicable powers of heightening the spirit and breaking out of art blocks.
Maybe it's because they're relatively simple to draw, being all geometrically correct, or maybe it's the contrast between their adorable appearance and the savagery of their cultural background.

Shaded fur just behind the ruff on Rage's neck creates an impression of fluffy and soft texture which is completely unexpected from a digital drawing - actually, the rendition of fur in this piece possesses a very rare balance of distinctiveness and blurr. And that application of gloss and reflections does a great job giving volume and tangibility to Rage's muzzle.
Masterful contour handling, too.
A pleasant surprise of a drawing - good old theme and brand new stylistic developments.

hell yes, more sergal art. havent seen new stuff in some time, well, short time, lol. great job rage, its bad ass. the only problem now is that i feel even worse for not being able to draw a sergal , my pic that i posted kinda sucked, and that makes me sad. but really now, its really good rage, cant wait to see more.
