How come the red 'hit' box has a black border on the top and not the bottom?

Just kidding that's not a real question, I only wanted to point it out.

HA HA JOKE'S ON YOU BECAUSE HERE'S A REAL ANSWER:

The yellow bar with a black border was made with one rectangle, and the red rectangle is placed over it freehand and slightly overlapping the outline at the bottom.

That's way less technical than I was expecting.

Furthermore if you're wondering why the bottom of the line is broken despite the red rectangle not fully overlapping it, it's because of how Flash handles lines; it draws a vector across a line of points and applies thickness from the middle afterwards. The red rectangle is -just- barely overlapping the middle of the line's plot, therefore the thickness of the line doesn't get rendered through the overlapped section.
