I really like it! A more monstrous look at Sola/Solus as they are in a mid-form. Usually s/he goes liquid/vaporous while shifting, but perhaps they need to be prepared for an incoming attack, or doesn't have the energy to change states.
Either way, definitely fitting for such a monstrous entity!
