It's everyone's favorite action scientist robot, Atomic Robo, ready to solve the world's paranormal problems with violent science. For a fee, of course.
I can't say as I've read too many comic books, but 'Atomic Robo and the Fightin' Scientists of Tesladyne' has to be my favorite. And, so, I decided to draw Atomic Robo as he appears in the comic. I took this pose right out of one of the pages, and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.
Naturally, I can't take any credit for the design or pose or whatnot, 'cause he's totally not my character.

Very nicely done, though I believe there's just one detail missing: that line across his eyes, or optic receptors, or whatever fruity term you want to call them. A very minor detail, though; it's interesting to see the influence of your skills, yet looking quite like the original too.
Personally I've known about Atomic Robo myself for a while, being a big fan of Brian Clevinger's work, but I didn't seriously get into it until he ran some sample pages from (I presume) a future issue of the new volume 'Dogs of War'. It got me interested enough to pick up the trade-paperback, and the rest was history.
(And to think I've never been a huge comic-book collector, until they came out with 'Buffy Season Eight'... now I've got something about six different collections going right now. Curse you, Joss Whedon!)

That 'line across his eyes' you're refering to only exists if he's got his eyes half closed or whatnot. If he's got his eyes wide open, they're just circles. And I'm not really sure any of my own skills show up much in this picture, since, as I said, I copied the pose and all right out of the comic, and I tried to stay as close to the original as possible.
I'm certainly waiting for the next volume of Atomic Robo. The dialogue between some of the action scientists is golden. =P
