the people popping balloons on the landing.... thanks for giving looners a bad name at fur cons - ask for an event room or keep it in a bedroom ......

I have a phobia for balloons because of them popping and they scare the shit out of me :S. When I see a balloon, i stay far away D:

I have been moderating balloon and inflatable related sites for a long time, balloons are one of the most common fears out there, the annoying thing is, i have friends that will not go to EF because of the people with balloons out in public, that's furries excluded from a furry con.....

I have a huge thing for balloons, have for 30+ years so it saddens me when looners don't think about others - i have lots of balloon fun at NFC but it was behind closed doors out of the range of people hearing it or seeing it, balloons and suits are cute but this was just popping.

Yeah :/ . I got the phobia because some friend scared me with popping a balloon and I was told that you can die from it like heart attack and I ALWAYS do feel that everytime balloon pops, i literally feel how a huge electic shock goes through me :/ and takes minutes to calm down. Balloons dont stop me from coming to NFC next year, i just go far away when I see them. I am not sure about the pool toys, these I actually like but I have 2nd fear popping them when sitting on them xD

if you are a highly strung person, any sudden sound that triggers your flight or fight reflex could give you a heart attack. in confined spaces balloon pops can wreck your hearing however are generally harmless.
