In addition to the shape of the paw, a few revision were made to the shape of the foot, as well. It's a bit thinner and differentiates the curved side from the flat side, on the back a bit more. There's less of a bulge just past the paw pad, that was sticking in my mind as a sort of ball of the foot. I think it works a lot better with the new paw.
I think I've settled on a decent nail coloration, but the black shader still needs a bit of work. It doesn't feel like the shape reads right when viewed with the black shader. At least, not all the time. This is probably at least partly because the dark paw pads don't contrast well with it.
Also, since I haven't worked on the UVs or done proper texturing yet, the shaders are applied directly to the polygons, which is why the black suddenly stops with a clear cut, straight line.
