I've watched and adored the newer series! For some reason I had trouble enjoying the very first one just as much. Maybe I'm overly sensitive to some of the scenes, but poor little Weed treated so miserably (to make him "stronger") reminded me of child soldiers camps. Yes I know, that's harsh. Can't help it.
