His fingers skittered across the keys like the hands of a man possessed, the dull clack of depressing typewriter keys filling the small office. In truth, Miller Waltz was not a huge fan of his job at the local paper. He found it mostly dull and lacking in any kind of intellectual stimulation, but writing horoscopes was the only way his degree in parapsychology was going to put bread on his table. But today he found himself invigorated as he blazed through the fortunes of the star signs, not because he had found new promise in his work, but because of the contents in today's paper.

A disinterested coworker had swung by earlier to plop his copy of today's edition on his desk. Miller's fingers trembled as he thumbed the paper open to the personals, and there among the jumbles of singles looking for nightly companions was his ad. He had purchased the biggest ad space he could afford. The square certainly stood out among its peers, not for it's size but for its content. Emblazoned in bold black news print it stated:

The disposable cell phone in his backpack had yet to ring, but the paper had only been out for a few hours this morning. He seriously doubted any real undead had seen his ad as of yet. So while he waited for the sun to set, Miller threw his complete attention into getting the horoscopes done for the sales shopper. As he neared his own sign his fingers slowed, technically the star charts said nothing of this but he let the impulse that pulled his normally sour expression into a grin guide his hands.
