It was an early winter morning and Ren'sie was just flopping out of bed. The morning chill nipped at him like a needy puppy but he was expecting this given he'd slept without a shirt to keep his neck fluff from getting rubbed in odd ways as he slept. The fuzzy red panda shuffled into the kitchen to make himself some hot tea to stave off the cold and noticed Reevah, his brother and only family, sitting in the large window sill in the living room looking out at the snow covered forest that lay behind their apartment building. Unlike Ren Reevah loved the cold and had no problem with sitting next to the frigid glass widow in his shorts.
"Morning Renny. Sleep well?" the silver fox asked with a warm smile.
"About as well as one can in these winter nights." Ren responded and plopped himself into his elder brothers lap.
To anyone else, this sight would be off putting but for these two brothers some light cuddling was nothing out of the ordinary. With Reevah being Ren's last remaining family he knew of he had no problem showing his affection and admiration for his elder brother and the same going for Reevah himself. After adopting Ren into his home Reevah made a point to make sure Ren was as well looked after as physically possible and gave him as much love and affection as he could as if he were taking the role of both parents combined.
"Well if you're too cold i can turn up the heat ya know." Reevah said as he wrapped his arms around Ren in a loose hug.
"I know but I think this will be good enough. Some hot tea and a warm hug. No better way to spend the morning." Ren sighed contently and took a sip of his tea
"whatever makes you happy Renny. whatever makes you happy."
