Nedelya is a wolf inflicted with a condition called "fireblood", which she acquired by blocking a chemical explosion, called Experiment 70, in an effort to protect a friend. The composition of her blood has thus been changed by the explosion, and now constantly generates fiery energy. Nedelya soon experienced an increased body temperature, which she at first combated by using ice to cool down. She later discovers she can balance her internal flames by using her newly acquired fire manipulation powers to expel the fires out of her body.
