for this one, i basically did flats with minimal shading, and about 3-4 layers of oranges and red layers set to a low opacity on overlay or soft-light mode (photoshop)
but generally i do not overload on the color effect layers in my art, just on simple stuff like this (to hide the sketchy lines, sloppy coloring etc)
