I resurrected The Boon Show as it's own book for the "Karno's Big Package" deal. One of my rare Safe For Work books, it is a pastiche of the Goon Show. Which is a 50's BBC radio comedy series (by Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, Harry Secombe and Michael Bentine), of which I am a rabid fan.
If you want a copy of this comic, it's the by-now-standard $5, plus $2 for postage. Or you could invest in tapes or CDs of the original Goon Show. Not for everyone (it is very British), but I still find it perennially funny.

Also, for those interested in the show, it's free to stream it via Tune-In http://tunein.com/radio/Goon-Show-Radio-s122396/ They replay many, many of the old episodes with Max Geldray and Ray Ellington included!
As a testimonial of sorts for this book, I have a copy of one of the earlier printings myself (along with some other more political stuff on the flipside) and I can say whole-heartedly that this comic is goddamn HILARIOUS. If you're at all familiar with Monty Python, you'll definitely recognize the style of humor on offer here; indeed, this comic's inspiration, the aforementioned Goon Show, is likely one of the major influences on the chaps who became Monty Python (with the possible exception of Terry Gilliam, the incongruous Yankee in the midst of all these Englishmen). I highly recommend getting a copy of this book, and telling your friends too! You'll enjoy every silly moment!
Must... add... comment. Since the Goon Show's been a part of my life ever since Mom scored two of
the funniest records our stereo ever wore out. The Batter-Pudding Hurler of Bexhill-On-Sea is burned into
my brain. Ditto Pliny, Insurance, and the Red Fort.
Which caused no end of shock and horror when I got that MRI. But I digress.
Allow me to contribute some useful data. THEGS is available on two other streaming sites, found here:
Abacus FM Goon Show: http: //91.121.166.38:7690
Fabcat Goon Show: http ://114.31.201.3:8032/
Both are mp3 streams. Google will give you the station websites. No idea who Fabcat is,
but he obviously likes his Goon Show. Listening to it as I type. (Affair of the Lone Banana; a
favourite)
And likely won't ever stop listening. Milligan, Sellers, and Secombe created something much
more timeless than they--or the despised BBC--ever knew (Not to omit mention of Bentine). There
may or may not be something... congruent between furry and THEGS. To judge from the
significant number of furs who have a taste for it, I suspect a solid may.
After all, furry--like the Goon Show--is all in the mind, you know. :- )
