Nice! Hot Wheels makes a customized 1979 model. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9JMpS1lT1.....0/IMG_0079.JPG
I really wish the USA would start making or importing these little unibody style pickups again.... It has been decades since the last elcamino or Ranchero or VW... And all the once little trucks have become huge or gone... The new Toyota Tacomas are the size of an old Tundra and the new tundras are the size of an ocean liner.
Yeah about the same with the newest version of the Chevy Colorado. I was next to one in my 2003 Silverado and thought damn that "small" truck is almost as big as my full size! Of course there isn't a Ford Ranger or Dodge Dakota at all anymore. Guess we might as well figure we are going to say goodbye to the compact truck for a little while.
I'm still amazed that not even the F150s have the V8 or V6 turbo diesels they get in so many other countries. It is like companies here don't want to give us tough trucks that last forever AND get decent mileage at the same time add that with the nearly 1000lbs saved with the aluminum parts on the current model that they are apparently only doing for this current model series.
America invented pickup trucks yet we get none of the good options that other countries have had for years.
