First modeling assignment for my poly and subdivision modeling class. Assignment was to model a non-organic object with many levels of detail, clay render only. I'm going to give this the rendering it deserves eventually.
Front View
Side Overview
Modeled in Blender, rendered at 8.5"x11" (300dpi) (3-point setup, ambient occlusion). Entire car has 744,195 verts and 706,601 faces after all smoothing.

Thanks for the compliment! C:
First off, yes, the body was modeled from a single cube. I'll get around to posting a wire eventually, but it was box modeled. I made it look like it was comprised of several body panels with just a simple bevel and extrude on the right edges.
And the class...isn't very "directed", per se. The prof gave us the assignment, told us to try to keep it to all quads, and let us go work while standing by to answer questions. :P
\Of course, I never did any work in lab...
\\Because they wanted us to use Maya. >..o

still sounds better than mine. =P For hard surface & organic modeling we didn't get any guidelines and other teachers tell us to work efficientally while this teacher told us to go nuts. Was quite conflicting.
I dunno why they try to force you to use certain programs in class, didn't think it mattered what you work with, as long as you could move the work between programs. >.>
