I really dig drawing stuff for 1920s related games - Call of Cthulhu in particular. I seriously want to play CoC, and if I can't get my fix there, Arkham Horror will do. Anyway.

The big problems are;
1. Things were different in the '20s, and there are also a batch of stereotypes out there which don't really do justice to all the stuff going on during the time period -- so it's easy to get a game which is the modern world dressed up with fedoras and Model As, rather than really get period flavor.
2. Players seem to have this really bad allergic reaction to CoC. You know; "my character is gonna die or go insane, so why bother playing?" I think you actually can run a CoC game which focuses on exploration, weird period stuff, and horror without killing everyone off, but that doesn't change the perception.

http://www.trollandtoad.com/pd16956.....sociateid=31_7 - Dunwich Horror is out there. Basically you use the train station on the Arkham map to get there.
Love that game. It's basically all the goofiness of a CoC game distilled into a single afternoon, without really any of the horror, and because it's not a RPG, you don't get players balking because their characters always die or go insane.
