Hmm... This reminds me of some rather odd fantasy genera gags like this:

The amount of clothing a fantasy character wears is inversely proportional to that character's strength, fighting ability, and resistance to damage. Additionally, their attractiveness is directly proportional to said traits. (Thus your character would probably at least be able to slay a rather large monster on his own with little risk.)
