These are a collection of images I did that is based off women with pudge or tummies, in almost all shape and size. I know a lot of friends who have a small tummy or are big boned and they feel very self-conscious about their body. I work in a bookstore where almost to all of the magazine covers or book covers revolve around very skinny, even sometimes big-breasted models. This would question anyone’s self appearance and body if they compare their bodies to the glamour models. They would feel ashamed or depressed that they have more body fat than the other and there is nothing they can really do about it.
Everyone has their own different definition about body fat: Pudge, huskie, curvey, wide, big-boned, rounded, obese, heavy…These are only one word terms that describe one’s body, and their definition can change due to one’s perspective.
When I hear of the words “ pudgey” or “huskie”, I think of someone who has a small rounded belly. I think of someone who has a cute tummy. Pudgey and huskie are ( or could be ) terms to describe one’s belly fat in a cute manner; a cushioned definition of one’s fat.
The word curvey could be taken not just for the roundness of one’s belly, but also for the breast and butt size. Many who do have pudge or large bellies tend to sometimes have a large chest and/or large butt. The breasts and the butt somewhat “counter balances” with the stomach. It’s perfectly normal. Some don’t have large breasts at all, but more of a normal B cup size or smaller. That is also normal. I knew a girl who had a tummy and large butt but small chest, and she was just as cute as ever.
When describing someone who is self-conscious about their body and you call them fat or obese or heavy, those words are somewhat pins and needle description about one’s appearance. When you describe a physical trait about someone, you should always go for a cushioned term. It shows that you do have respect for other people’s feelings and physical descriptions. You are aware that they could be very sensitive about their body and that you know it is best not to describe someone in a harsh way.
Your body is an outer shell of who you really are. Your body is like a turtle’s shell. When a turtle crawls into a shell, you don’t know what kind of turtle you are looking at. It could be aggressive, or shy, or kind. You could look like someone who looked like they crawled out of the sewer, but they really have a heart of gold. You are born with the body you have and it will change due to your genetic history. You could be born very thin, but then get rounder with age do to some genetic defect from your family’s past or medication you took for another medical problem. That still does not change the fact of who you are. Heck, you could loose all your hair, but you will still remain the same person.
A lot of people hate their bodies. They wish they could be like the next person who is toned or more sexually alluring. Instead they are stuck with this defect that they cant get rid of, no matter how hard they try. Having a skinny figure with a large chest or size pack with huge muscular arms does not really mean anything except physical attraction. We are so used to seeing those figures on TV or in magazines that we automatically think “Hey, that is very sexy!” When we see someone who doesn’t have that figure, we think “Not attractive enough.” That can also go when we look each other in the mirror. We judge our own body to the next and if they have something beautiful that we don’t, we get depressed and try to hide it, pretending that we don’t have it or try to make it look like we do.
Personality is the key to anyone who wants to be attractive. The physical image cant go far, but the personality can go a long way. One could look like a goddess but be a real tight-wad personality wise. Our bodies are “eye-candy” to another. Don’t rely heavily on your physical body, but more of your mental and personal self.
I might think of selling these images as prints with a loving description on the bottom. It would make a good gift for someone who has the same body type as one of these images and also who are depressed because of their body. These were all done with pen and prismamarker. I really had fun doing these images because they were a happy ones and colorful ones as well. I will be bringing my sketchbook to FurFright so you can take a better look at these.
These images are NOT for pornographic material, hence no nipples :P

I'm glad I found this image. I've been feeling horrible about my body image. I'm a lot like the first one, I have a slightly larger chest though that has ended in back problems.
I think the fact I'm not far from hollywood never helps. I've stopped reading magazines and stopped watching TV for the most part because of all the press to the 'perfect' body. And it's not helping me love myself more, but think of myself as flawed.
I'm really glad I found this, you're a wonderful artist and sound like a wonderful person too. One of the most understanding I have found outside of my small group of friends.

I'm a dude, so I realize there's a lot less pressure on me, and I realize that there are people who feel far worse about themselves than I do, but I know what you're talking about. Watching the average TV drama shows you more six packs than a liquor store, and it gets to you after a while. The description to this pic actually made me feel better about myself.
Excellent message. I personally do prefer larger women, it just looks more natural... I dunno why I feel that, but it's just very lovely. Looks so warm and soft, too, which just add into the beauty. If the fat isn't extremely dangerous to your health, there's no reason you should be ashamed of it.
So, yes, I'm all for pudge pride. Dunno how much sense that makes, since I'm a skinny guy.

I hate my pudge. D: I had a breakdown this morning, because I couldnt fit into my old favorite jeans that I recently dug up, jeans that used to fall off my butt because they were too big. And I want to get in shape again but its so hard to try and balance time between classes, schoolwork, and time for myself, and exercise never seems to fit into my schedule properly. -.- But, thats just me, and kudos to everyone who's happy with their body.
iit's not hypocracy in this case
what probably happened was, he simply didnt put nipples so that everyone could view this piece.
since there are alot of underaged users, and i know of alot of younger people who have body issues, and would love this piece.
if it had nipples they wouldnt be able to because it would be set as mature.
(im not trying to fight either..so please dont..)

As someone who's cursed with belly rolls, I know how that is. Even on a strict diet, it only goes so far, I'll never be model thin ever. Fat or thin we all end up dead one day, so I'd rather eat my bread and have my sugary drinks. At least I can say every day I was alive was delicious. So there.
You are wonderful! Thank you ... I must commission you to draw Gypsi .. no one has gotten her figure right ...
I think it is absolutely amazing the positive responses that have come from this piece of art and its message.
I have always been self conscious because i am very curvy.. definitely full figured .. but now that i am back single, i am reminded how much importance so many people put on the physical aspect of a person and how the majority of society thinks you have to be super thin to be beautiful .. Even when you know that you're beautiful -inside and out- it is hard to hold true to that when all you see is model thin ..
What has happened to our society ? We have goddess statues that are very full figured, larger women were thought to be extremely beautiful and thin meant poor and sick.... How have we moved so far from that idea ? Your outside beauty should be more about how you care for yourself and how you hold yourself.. not the size of your body. There is beauty in all sizes.. but personality can either heighten that beauty of make someone hideous.
THANK YOU to EVERYONE that recognizes -plump, pudgy, curvy, full figured, etc- as beautiful.

i took a good long time to read your post and look at your art work in this one. yes the human body is a work of art. and every thing you say is right. sadly i am one that hates my body just because it is not as nice or sex as the guys and girls in the magazines. I am stuck in between both sexes. and because of my hate for my own body and my try to make it better i have not more damage then good to it.
I would love to own one of your prints from this post. This print was truly a great one.

And as her mate, I have something to note... To all those Dr.s who have only one answer to every physical ill... "Just loose some weight" they say, never once considering if the weight you have is actually RIGHT for you. Foxy here, my mate, she is more healthy than ME, she has a better blood pressure, heart rate, and cholesterol numbers... And yet I am the one in that 'suggested weight' range for my height. As if distance between the top of your head and the bottom of your feet is some kind of magical number that automatically says you should weigh 'x'.... So frustrating, when the medical community, our great lauded society as a whole, all seems set out against you.
I love my foxy's body, but as Alex here puts it so well, body only reaches so deep, its what goes beyond that that makes a relationship last. We have been happily married for over three years now... Its the PERSON that makes the relationship last. And yes, for the record, it takes work. So many in society today, and so many of the 'perfect figured' people do not want to work on a relationship, would prefer if it stays shallow. So many just in it for what they can gain. It has left many wondering if true love still exists in the world today. I must confess, it is in short supply, but the only way to guarantee never to find it, is not to keep looking. So many give up, and I just wanna say, keep loving like you have never been hurt, because the right one, the one who you can share true love with, IS out there, and can be found.

Ya know, guys need to remember this too. I'm not pudgy because I swim so much but I constantly have guys tell me how bad they want a body like mine. I always tell them that there is nothing wrong with being pudgy if it's you. Sides, guys with a little meat on them are cuddly ^^
