Dr. Seuss doodled in class too--and his future first wife noticed his flying cow and made him realize he didn't want to analyze life but experience it--that, rather than being happy being a professor of English literature at a university, he really wanted to draw. So he dropped out of Oxford, got a job drawing for a magazine, and married that woman. And that job led to a job in advertising, which in turn led to his writing and illustrating children's picture books.

Well, I'd recommend it--especially the Grinch's paraphernalia wagon. Lots of creepy stuff to be found there.
