Verra pushed out through the viscous, rubber membrane, the cool air permiating even her own feathers. It was dark in the lab, lit only by the dim, green illumnation of the stasus vats. The hum of machinery filled the dim room, and as she set one taloned foot onto the metal floor, she darted her gaze to the side, catching sight of more glowing tanks, and more birds suspended within them, resting soundly in the warm, fluid interiors.

Did this up really quickly, so sorry about the really terrible scale and perspective. Done pics with this theme before, and inspiration struck again and had to run with it. Started as just another sketch, and one thing led to another, so just wound up rolling with it, based off the original concept by TheLoneCrow.
