My entry for a group over on deviantart called fantasy-xchange! The theme for march was 'species swap'- this character was actually originally an alligator, an OC by painted-flamingo. I was given the freedom to choose what kind of animal to change her into- I chose cheetah in part because it's been a while since I've drawn one and wanted to, and in part because it just kinda clicked for me? It's hard to explain.

This was also sort of a loose practice on backgrounds I suppose- I didn't do anything too fancy, I wanted the focus to be on the character, and I was kind of just getting a feel for where my skills were before I started working on improving them with tutorials and visual references. Backgrounds have always been a huge weakness of mine, but I want to improve on them!
