Ah yes... Despite having been involved in military aviation, symbology wasn't something we covered (Avionics tech here) I had always associated the central star flanked by stripes as AirFarce, not General Purpose US Military.
I had no idea 'hurry up and wait' applied to pilots as well... but I suppose when it comes to going to and from the destination, there's not much to do other than listen to radio chatter and check your waypoints while the autopilot does the rest.
I'm former Marine, my brother is current Navy, previously Engine room Officer on a Los Angles class sub, now is overseeing new ship building in California. If I had to do it all over again, I would have likely joined the Navy. At any rate, keep being awesome ;}

O_O Well then.... if there were a competition for the most epic furry sketch/selfie... you just soundly won it sir. And... never thought about it before, but dry skin and having to zip on a G-suit and prep a jet for flight would SUCK!
