Well, with mine, she pukes whenever she eats something she's not supposed to (like tissues). ;)
It can be for a lot of different reasons though. Some cats have food sensitivities (ours used to puke a lot more before we switched them to grain-free canned food) others just get hairballs a lot from swallowing too much hair while grooming.
