Madmen-Asylum longest night- 9 Micromania
For Madmen-Asylum challenge 'The longest night': the theme was micromania.
I chose my OC Angerona the dead fox. If she ever born human, she would look like that. Silver fox fur on a pretty pinup with Dita von Teese hairstyle.
At first I wanted to do something gore and bloody, with her sewing her own mouth with a thread, but then I saw a poster against anorexia nervosa on internet and chose this. I hope you'll like it.
Nine O'clock: Micromania/ Body dysmorphic disorder
Although up for debate, the term “micromania” has been used to describe the irresistible urge to belittle and berate oneself. It’s a relatively new term that still hasn’t seen a widely-accepted usage, but the sentiment is one that many believe to be real and very prevalent. One of the related manifestations of micromania is the potentially life-threatening anorexia nervosa. This is an eating disorder that is characterized by a person’s distorted body image where the affected individual is obsessed with being thin even if they already are. One of the many underlying causes of Anorexia nervosa is said to be a desperate struggle for a self-respecting identity.
Notable example: Karen Carpenter, a popular singer and drummer with the Carpenters, died in 1983 due to heart failure secondary to anorexia nervosa. She was 32. Her death has led to an increased awareness and visibility of this psychiatric condition.
I own my OC Angerona, but dead foxes are a Kregl's original species and she gave me the permission to make an OC.
