I consider this as another form of art :)
I started going to regular tournaments for CS:GO and got tired of traveling around with my atx.
With my scraps from previous builds and new case, mobo, and ram that I had to purchase. I put this little beast together in a short amount of time.
After overclocking it , it scored very high on my benchmarks all in a micro atx platform case and mobo.
it's Sli and gpu's and cpu is water cooled :)

No, you really don't. ...maybe if you buy prebuilt from a boutique, or a named pre-built (like Alienware). But if you build it yourself, you can build a really good rig for less than $1,000 that would stand up to a $1,800-2,300 Alienware. More, if you need to get a new monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
My tower used to look all pretty... but then I got lazy after too many times of taking it apart and putting it back together, replacing hard drives, fans, and cooling systems... I'd like to get more GPU muscle and cut down from 5 hard drives, but I'm afraid if I do, I'll spend the weekend making the wiring all pretty again...
