Some of the other volunteers at the park today made stupid mistakes that could have gotten them hurt (and they didn't seem to care that they were putting themselves and our animals in danger), I made a stupid mistake and posted some stuff online that somehow got someone upset with our ranger, and a friend is going through tough times and I can't do anything to physically help her. (I mean, emotional support is important, but when the rent is due and your family might not make it this month, it feels like you aren't doing enough.) Bleh.
I mean, plenty of good things happened to offset it--I spoke to a lot of cool people who work in fields that interest me, and I seemed to make a good impression--but once I get riled up, it takes me a while to come back down again.

Shitty things suck, and we are in a bad spot too in our world. It sucks to see other people distressed in their troubles.

And thank you for the compliment! She's a kestraroo--an American kestrel/red kangaroo hybrid. She'd been be-bopping around in my brain for a while now, and I've adopted her as my way of representing myself on here. [wait should I start calling her a fursona then??]

That sounds awesome, sounds like a very playful, pounce-y creature. I hope she likes to take walking trips!
Rent sucks.. as a programmer, I see how the financial infrastructure of america, is outright gross. We are struggling with that at the moment. I would love to see the 'higher officials' live off minimal wage, and a full 40 hour life-draining week. Maybe they might gain some insight from it.
