You HAVE the coloring skills. What you need to do is spend time doing the proper layout. To give everything the proper amount of love and show toony character.

what about sketching scenery on paper then tracing them in shop?

Also for speed I think you need three degrees of every color Light->Middle->Heavy and lay them down EXACTLY as a Oil painter would do.
