I don’t know how well I can describe this idea but along the lines of “Little Shop of Horrors” will do. some adorable little lizard comes up to you and offers he can make you all the money you could ever want for just a place to stay and perhaps…a bit to eat?
and you’re skeptical at first but you give him a chance and believe it or not he delivers! so you keep the little guy (regardless of how…healthy his appetite can be) and things seem to just keep getting better and better!
now he’s been getting awful fat lately (that’s unsurprising) but what’s really starting to bother you is he seems to be getting taller too? but he insists its just your eyes, and has anyone seen the neighbors around lately?
but it’s apparent he’s gotten a big attitude to go along with that even bigger belly, he’s gotten more demanding, pushy, and hungry (if that’s possible) and you really don’t want to think too hard when your competitors go missing and he’s picking his teeth.
but before you finally find the courage to stand up to this now towering monstrous man you’re informed with a greedy, drooling grin that, simply, you’re not needed anymore~
