Iyra wasn't sure what to expect when he first encountered Meroe. What was this creature? Was it intelligent? ...Dangerous? Turns out Meroe was just another traveler looking for a warm place to rest. The two talked for a while - or rather, Iyra made polite small talk while Meroe listened - and as Iyra's eyelids grew heavy, he snuggled against Meroe without really thinking about it. It took longer for Meroe to relax, but he finally rested his head on the ground.
Even if Iyra was dangerous, at least for now, he was warm.
