*standing in front of a pickup truck which is engulfed in flames while holding up a tall clear bottle filled with a clear liquid, said-bottle also having a small piece of burning cloth in the neck of the bottle* Doesn't matter! *chunks it at a house and laughs as the side of the house catches on fire* Power to the people, motherfuckers!
The Earth is truly a living being, Morgan. It relies on us, and we rely on it. Life itself is based upon the law of equivalent exchange. Every debt must be paid for with something-or someone-of equal- or greater value. We have stolen the Earth's essence and perverted it to suit our selfish, increasingly-lazy lifestyle. We take oil, which is nothing more than decomposed dinosaurs and lifeforms from millions of years ago, and manipulate it using different chemicals and compounds to produce the rubber which car tires are made of, the plastics which give our television sets and game consoles their attractive looks. We take silicon, gold and lead from the Earth and use those three elements to make the motherboards for our computers. We've perverted Mother Earth so that we can create meaningless joy. Artificial joy. Man-made joy. Man-perverted joy. This is what humanity has done to our Mother. We are all Her children, and, despite the fact that she's given us nothing but love and nourishment, we've given her nothing but disrespect, dissatisfaction and destruction. We've mistreated our Mother, and now She's disciplining us through environmental disasters. Droughts, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes; All of these are appetizers for the incomprehensible wrath which She's waiting to let loose upon our corrupted collective existence. We will soon become one with Her once more, and so the circle of life will continue.
I don't think mother nature really needs us man I mean she got by just fine on her own for so long and we came a long and slowly start mess stuff up and were just Like the toddler who pull the table cloth off the table on thanksgiving ;3; and I mean if we're just kinda disappear it would change she still just go on fine like all those abandon place over grown with grass o3o
The thing is, though, that we're throwing her physical stability way out of whack. Like I said, mining for certain elements and gemstones just to give us the illusion of happiness, drilling for oil to fuel cars which don't do anything but produce noise and gases which are destroying our ozone and making people sick, plus the mining of certain elements to create the batteries which power hybrid cars, cellular telephonic devices, mobile computers and the like, then throwing the waste into the oceans and fields like it meant nothing has created a domino effect which will eventually lead to our collective demise. You're right that she will go on after we all die, but the thing is though that our legecy will be in the form of a deformed landscape caused by capitalism's industrial ways which performed environmental genocide. Mother Earth really does need us, and we need her. Like I said, one of the most important laws to follow while we are walking upon Mother Earth is the Law of Equivalent Exchange. Every debt must be paid with something of equal and/or greater value, said-reimbursement to Mother Earth for slowly killing her over the past millennium being Her slowly taking our lives. I've just now realized that Karma does exist. If we pollute the Earth and harm Her in any way, shape and/or form, we'll be harmed back; However, if we attempt to give back to her without harming her any further, she will give back to us in return. Sadly, though, it will be a long time before we see another paycheck from Her.
