Needless to say, since this IS October, a celebration of beer and the part of the anatomy best associated with it should be in order.
So, in the first of two classic comic gags (currently featured in my gallery in "The Round House"), 'Rob' and 'Donovan' are the official judges of the "Beer Belly of the Year" Contest - held during Octoberfest - with a pair of competitors (in the last panel) already standing out amongst the rest of them (and the best of them)...

That tiger reminded me a similar cartoon cat on a sweatshirt from an upstate New York college's lacrosse team (which I saw worn in a supermarket parking lot). He, too, sported a huge beer belly, and a quotation on said shirt read (RE: the lacrosse team): "The more we drink, the better we were!"
Well, considering that I came up with this gag several years before the release of the film comedy "Beerfest", you'd be surprised what sort of beer-related contests are being held these days - especially during the month of October! (Currently, 'Beer-Pong' tournaments are a hot competition!)
