Ugin is such a beast, like, gawd... once he hits the field it's an almost guaranteed lights out. Bolas is nasty in his own right, even if (in my mind) neither of them quite live up to the brutishness that is Karn Liberated as a planeswalker. That guy was a truck, I'm disappointed I sold off my copy(s)

Yeah, Karn is pretty pricey now ;_; One of the few that didn't go down after rotating out of standard. I wish i'd gotten him :F They're reprinting him in Modern Masters 2 though!

The problems with Karn and Ugin is they're feckin' COLORLESS.... which means my paltry attempts at protection with my monowhite builds (faith's shield, god's willing, etc.) go FFFTPH. I usually love using those against planeswalkers, because it comes at people sideways, and I can usually sneak in the kill on the walkers the turn after, but with Karn and Ugin it's just a whole lotta nope.

I'm glad to hear they're reprinting him, I'd like to get my paws on another copy.

Yeah, even if you don't pull one in a pack, the price might drop a bit due to the reprint. At least for a little while, before the supply dries up!

ohoohoho. that is nasty, you beast. Orzhov's my colors, totally. My main man is Vish Kal. Him + blade of the blood chief makes for a handy dandy bazooka for 2. Husband runs Avacyn as a commander, and it's a tyrant. I haven't bought him an Iona yet, mainly because I want to be able to play him without rage quitting XD

I also play the new Freyalise as a (custom built) monogreen commander lately, it's a ton of fun. I get to use my old Champ of Lambholt who is just unruly in an elf deck.

I am such a Orzhov ho ;3; They're so cheap and super easy to bust out big things quickly.

Yeah, Ugin is gorgeous ;___; I mean, I think Bolas is pretty enough, at least compared to lesser mortals :P But Ugin is actually really, truly beautiful.
I really shouldn't have, but i just splurged and ordered him... i worry that he won't go down in price later on (Like Karn) since he's got the colourless ease-of-use. Might as well add him to the collection now!
He'll find a home in an EDH deck somewhere :3
