A very VERY basic reference for a character from my Darklight Destiny project. I don't like adding fancy backgrounds and shading to refs - I think it detracts from the character and their base colours (also I'm damn lazy)
So yeah, it's not great, I wasn't even going to sumbit it here.
HOWEVER, I over on devianTART I'm entering Shenley in an OC tournament known as the Inter-Dimensional Derby (or I-D-D for short). This tournament is different from most, in the way that the matches will (for the most part) be races instead of regular combat. Think Mario Kart or Wacky Racers with OCs and you get the idea.
Anyway, I've decided I'm going to be posting all of my I-D-D related stuff here as well as on dA.
Name - Shenley
Age - 16
Height - 5'3"
Weapon of choice - Staff
Special - Summon
Abilities - Shenley specialises in healing magick, and also has access to a few defensive support techniques. To attack, she can use low-level Wind and Water elemental magicks. While weak, these spell are still more effectictive than her physical attacks. Later she learns the mid-strength Holy magick, but the brunt of her offensive power comes from the large elemental creatures she can Summon into battle. Summonings will however take a huge toll on her Spirit Energy.
Background - Shenley was born into a long line of Summoners, and as such is not only gifted with their knowledge and abilities, but also burdened with their responsibilities. Dressed in traditional garb, albeit too large for her small stature and slender frame, she travels across the world to fix 'tears', usually using a Wind Summon named Karura as her main form of transport. She is wanted by the Djeshi Empire, who consider her a nuisance to their research into 'tears'. Nonetheless, she carries out her duty with unwavering optimism and a cheerful demeanor.
After fixing a 'tear' in the forest north of Bennington, she narrowly avoids being captured by Agents of the Empire thanks to a quiet young man named Azuli, and a mysterious woman named Déon.
She tells the two of her plight, and convinces them to assist her in fixing a 'tear' in the centre of the Empire's capital city.
