The Great Jungle. Unknown to us mortals is a plane of existence which acts as a repository for life and elemental energy. The Great Jungle as it is know by it's denizens is a vast untamed place full of many untold wonders and dangers. It's inhabitants, most of witch are spirits, are given corporeal form in this realm and take the shape of various animals. But any spirit who is to weak may allow itself to be consumed by it becoming an abomination endlessly seeking other spirits to consume. Jungle (which is what the lion had come to be known due to his resemblance to the land in which they resided) had wandered this mysterious place for as long as he could remember. Witnessing many of the lands wonders and meeting a fair share of other spirits. He however grew lonely, since he had never come across any of his own kind. That is, until one night when he came across a lost, little, lioness cub (a spirit whom had fallen from the moon.) wandering around desperate for any help she could get. Jungle not knowing where she was from, and the little cub to young to know what was going on, searched high and low for any signs of her family. Jungle realizing that her home might never be discovered decided to foster her in they ways of surviving The Great Jungle. It wasn't long however before he discovered the deep connection she seemed to have with the giant glowing orb in the night sky, as her appearance and color would change according to it's cycles. So, he had taken to calling her Moon. As time went on and the little lioness matured into a glowing vision of radiance, their affection for each other grew deep and blossomed. Jungle was no longer lonely.
