I recommend FFVI if you enjoy the story. It's an easier Final Fantasy, but bolsters one of the largest roster ever! Chocobos (and dragons, sadly) are under-represented here, but Moogles (if that's your thing) are shown in spades.
If you want Chocobos and dragons, FFV features a good number of them as story points. :)
