Oh sheish, that sucks :x I am more scared to mess with the lye then any thing, though the CP soap we have in the bathroom is so creamy and smooth feeling its wonderful! Do you have like a garage or extra storage? that could be an option for setting soap to cure. get one of those plastic tubs and have it be the soap curing tub
A lot of furry soapers already make them with paw prints on them. Was going to try for more healing herbal soaps when I get better, and have more access to herbs, come spring and summer.
At some point I might start selling some with miniature prints of artwork specific to the design and scent of the soaps. :)

Melt and pour is the easiest to start with, but you do have to know just how much scent and added ingredients you can put into the mix before it is unable to solidify, or solidifies overly quickly. Or just becomes so rough that it rips your skin off upon use. (That is with scrubber soaps.)
Its a lot of trial and error.

That's a kind of trial and error I wouldn't mind. I don't feel as bad at 'wasting' materials as I'd be with cooking (I feel horrid and guilty if its inedible because I wasted precious food and money on it). I'm gonna go look up info on this though, its artistic and creative in its nature but it has functionality and that's something I would love to do. Thank you for posting your soaps, I didn't know these could turn out like this, wind up being something so pretty for something you wishy-washy yourself with.
