#ImLoading...

We started our #ImLoading photo campaign in response to the laughable #ImUnloading hashtag advocacy that implores the socially conscious to divest their 401Ks of any firearm-related companies. As if the preening narcissism of that weren’t enough, in their infinite wisdom (or slack-jawed cluelessness) the brain trust behind #ImUnloading chose a convicted felon who was tried for murder as the face of their “gun safety” campaign. Hence #ImLoading. So check out all of the pics we’ve received so far at our Facebook page (a few selects after the jump). If you’d like to contribute your own image, email it to thetruthaboutguns[at]gmail.com (please put IM LOADING in the subject line). And thanks for reading . . .
Far be it for me not to add my two cents into the shenanigans...

no.I am for firearm regulation, but I am not for taking away those that are for civillian use. for instance I believe civies should only be able to use semi-auto or single shot, not full auto. max mag size for civies(i.e. 10-15 rounds max) and similar ideas.
Training is always a good idea. Making it mandatory gives the Government the ability to set the "Standards" for such, and as seen in Washington DC, and Chicago, IL, if you make it impossible for people to take the classes, make it overly expensive, or not able to do a practical portion (as in there are no ranges within the boundaries of the city), then they can effectively ban ownership, until someone challenges things in court...which could take years to resolve. On top of all that, there's the issue of registration which gives the Government a list of all owners, who tend to become targets (Like when the newspapers started publishing the lists of CCW permit holders).
The issue I have with "Common Sense" regulations is that the ones who dictate what "Common Sense" is, have absolutely NO IDEA whatsoever about what they're claiming. The issue with the M855/XM193 ammo ban is one such example.

"In a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, ATF Director B. Todd Jones said all types of the 5.56 military-style ammo used by shooters pose a threat to police as more people buy the AR-15-style pistols.
"Any 5.56 round" is "a challenge for officer safety," he said. Jones asked lawmakers to help in a review of a 1986 bill written to protect police from so-called "cop killer" rounds that largely exempted rifle ammo like the 5.56 because it has been used by target shooters, not criminals."
(ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo" By Paul Bedard | March 13, 2015 | Washington Post)
Once again, they're lumping everything under "5.56 NATO" while ignoring the .223 Remington aspect. Yes, there are exceedingly minor differences in the case construction, powder, pressure, and velocities, but they're not willing to bring up the point that .223 Remington "works" in the 5.56 and both will shred a level III-A vest. It's like saying 7.62 NATO is more dangerous than the .308 Winchester hunting round.
It's Washington, DC's dog and pony show again, only now that DC has legalized pot...we know what they're smoking.

For the record, this is how that portfolio would have returned since 1/20/2009, without reinvesting dividends: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6576554/
Ugh, guns are really Not My Thing. They give me the creeps. The only reason I can think of for "needing" one is to protect myself from other people with guns.
If I wanted to hurt somebody, it would be way more fun to beat him with a rake.
Shootin' him? That's LAME. Where's the creativity?

Oh noes, Here lies Norma, broken hearted- wait, wait? Oh it's just a firearms meme.
I'm against guns being loose in a clearly civilian population. I'm also against not being able to deal with whatever happens on an unexpected day, shrug. Those who hoot and bluster about having guns are more a disgrace about it as those who just want to join the anti-gun bandwagon thinking that it'll result in some sort of paradise. Something's gotta kill all the mofos and the quickest, cleanest way is to give them guns.
Nobody lives forever, yet. So in a situation that could turn fatal real quick, it's best to be able to deal with those who forcefully volunteer for the experience.
