This is my first ever Sculpy design, so honestly, anyone who knows the stuff definitely provide some input to me.
I agreed to do a trade with
sdych - because he's a really cool guy, so check out his page. He asked if I could draw his Krystal character and I had been meaning to get into sculpting, so I decided to start off with this sucker instead of a drawing.
The idea behind it is... she's hangin' out at the beach and watching the sky, as some waves are rolling in. Honestly, there were some problems I wasn't expecting while sculpting - for example, not having a single tool makes sculpting extra difficult. I resolved to be resourceful and a cheap bastard, so instead of buying tools I used a toothpick. But it was definitely a good learning experience! The pose started out great! With the limbs looking good, the boobs not being so lop-sided, and the face was better off, but as time went on, having to shape certain things on one side would force me to reshape and squish things on the other side. Eventually I pummeled away at it until I came up with the shape she is in now. So next time I am to do something like this, I think I would create all limbs and head separate, and leave dowel joints to be able to bake the Sculpy, and add all the pieces on at the end and bake a final time, thereby allowing it to retain more form.
Oh. And maybe get some tools. Hah
Still. This was hard work, so please tell me what you think. Good... Bad. Who cares! Just let me know. XD

You know. You need to work out those hips. It's really like a synchronized dance and how can you become extremely good at it without CONSTANT practice...? giggity.
Seriously though, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you thought it was good. It's tough, though. I need to try it again some time.
