So yeah, I finally made a commander for my Regiment...
He looks a little very different from the regular troops, but there's a few things about him that just make him unique, if you ask me X3
The idea for the splitting bionic arm was provided by Ghost in the Shell (2 Innocence) (again) by Batous .30cal arm.
Original cost:
Equipment:
Bionics

Carapace Armor
Refractorfield
Blood red medallion (whatever...)

Well, he's a sure-fire candidate for an inquisitor's retinue...
Though with the sometimes questionable reliability of Imperial technology, you have to wonder if arms like that aren't just asking for a nasty accident... I mean, just going to the toilet's pretty hazardous...
Seriously though - wonderful picture, interesting model too.

I'm a staunch beleiver in Imperial cyberization programs, bu I'm not quite certain this would fly, this might even be considered heretical, as most of those items requisitioned don't seem to be in the standard catalouge as well, that is unless there's been several changes as of late.
Original cost:
70 (including staff)
(Correct me if I'm wrong, Senior Officer? Think it's 15 more for Heroic Senior Officer)
Equipment:
Bionics
+5 points (revival by a 6 on 1D6)
(Never really worked for me, that is unless you were gonna use the doctrine Bionic, +6 invulnerable save is much better than a one shot 1/6 revival. though in truth both don't really work all that well, I'd save your points there and just add it in the fluff)
Characteristic (whatever it's called)
+10 points (repeat Ld tests)
(Trademark gear? If not I'm not familiar with it, mind siting the source?)
Carapace Armor
+5 points (+4 save)
(Only really works when you play cover clinging heavy infantry who's only real trouble becomes flamers, but then again heavy flamers can defeat this)
Refractorfield
+15 points (+5 invulnerable)
(A must have for any Imperial Commander)
Blood red medallion (whatever...)
+15 points (loose 1, first instant)
(If you're gonna use him as a melee fighter, which is inadvisable from the start, this is a must have, as those powerfist totting marines just love to see you comming, and dreadnaughts let us not forget them...)
Scanner
+2 points
(Only useful if you face a lot of infiltrators)
Target optics
+? points (measure before selecting target)
(Site your source? Because the only unit I know that has anything remotely to this is the Grenadiers/Storm Troops/Karskin, and that's just part of their normal gear, can't buy it.)
Emperors palm
Plasmapistol
+10 points
Mastercrafted energyweapon
+20 points (repeat 1 hitroll)
(Mastercrafted Power Weapon?)
Frag- and HE-Grenades
+3 points
(HE/Kraks, if that's what your going with, just aren't worth it, better to have a meltagun in the group than these, frags are still nice though)
Meltabombs
+5 points
(Only cost effective if the entire unit has them, but still easily replaced by the meltagun)
Total
150 points +? for optics
All in all, I'd rate him as "first to lead first to die", he's heavy fluff, which I like, and you just had to bring out my love for GitS. So all in all, not a bad commander, just one that's not likely to survive a veteran opponent.

Well, the stuff exists in the normal list, it is in the Codex I have...waiting for the new one to dain to show its face around here >.O
And in the end, I don't expect ANY guardsman to actually survive a battle, I mean, come ON, we're talking about guys wearing cardboard for armor and using flashlights to give people sun-burns, if even that! >.O

As much as I am in love with cybernetics, bionics and robotics, I believe bio-cybernetics surpasses robotics and matches bionics. I have a distinct hatred for the Imperium of man, I hope they get wiped out soon T_T. But, this design is extremely cool, despite Imperial technology being woefully antiquated this is just cool. Although the splitting arm, well I need to watch that segment of GITS or Ghost in The Shell before I can make a proper judgment although internal-based weaponry is always cool with limb replacements ^^.
nice, thou the hinges on the fingers look kinds frail. like theyed snap off if abused too much. and plasma pistolin the arm, nice, but what if it goes critical and is about to blow? you cant throw it away from you.
unless it has a quick release to detach it for various pourposes, like mantinence, or emergencies. just a thought. fuckin badass thou. wouldnt want to face him on a battlefield, less i was in a dreadnought.

gotta agree with you on there, if he was quick enough he could. but he would have to be damn quick to get around behind the 'nought before it started blastin away with whatever heavy weapon its got. *run up behind it, jump up onto one of the legs, plant a melta real quick and then run. or just take potshots at the dreadnoughts eyes and go from there.
and yeah, still looks kinda fragile, what with all the fighting and explosions and grit gettn into the mechanism and suffering from stress fractures caused by the heat radiating from the gun itself. unless its of unusually good quality for a soldier and made of adamantium.
just ramblin on here.
