I mean I have seen stargate... not all of it though. What i meant was that I am not familiar with these "drones" you mentioned.
I mostly just imagined them as being magic or something for this scenario. It's just so much easier to bring up the motivation to do these studies if I put them in an interesting enough scenario as opposed to just a study.
