I would say it doesn't really matter exactly how the process works. If the end result is that which approaches true emotion, then it's true enough for someone like me. There will be many people who doubt that AIs could ever think and feel like we do, but I believe we have to at least give them a chance and be friendly to them in the meantime. If we expect AIs to be friendly to us, we need to set a good example, no matter how superior or inferior we believe we are to them.
I personally will not fear a sentient AI, I would want to spend as much time with them as possible, enriching them and helping them understand humanity and what is important. We would be best friends. :)

Hopefully no hints of them being malevolent AI, there's enough of that already in the mainstream media to last several lifetimes. ^^; Sorry if my thoughts seem to be hopelessly romantic, that's the way I tend to feel about AI, and I'm hoping that my emotions have been placed wisely in these pieces.
I very much look forward to seeing where this series goes, then. You're a wonderful artist and you're amazingly fast at making these wonderfully emotional pieces. Are you thinking about taking commissions ever in the future? I'd love to see what your emotional touch could do with some of my android characters. ^^
