The Wisps, the fabled ghost lights leave challenges for travelers leading anyone brave enough to follow to great fortune and glory as guardians of the holy grail. The collective thoughts of all those who have failed the Wisps trial gather together and attach themselves to a host, Feeding of the emotions of their human host they gain consciousness and form becoming "Whismere." These mysterious creatures have no tangible form and thus can move in and out of the physical and metaphysical realm as they please. Their shape and colour is dependent on what emotion they have been feeding off of. Whismere who feed off positive emotions will be bright and colours with unique markings and may resemble animals that are close to humans that provide comfort. Those that feed off negative emotions will have dark colours and may resemble animals that bring fear, anger of discomfort to the host. Their personalty is largely dependent on what emotion they feed off of, a Whismere who feeds off of hope may be cheerful, and warm with an outgoing personality. Those that feed off of dark emotions such are fear may be paranoid, and distrustful of others. The Whismere voice the desires from deep within the hearts of their host, earning the nickname "Whisper."
