Not really sure what to say on this, other than sorry for the giant-ass image. I had to sharpen and brighten it a bit, but that's all. No idea how to resize it on a Kindle Fire though.
I admit, I'm not a BIG fan of steampunk, but I have a friend who likes it and I wanted to try making something to fit the genre. Not sure how I did, but I rather like it, especially for being my first attempt at gears.
The back is painted black, the metal effect was done with PearlEX powders in Silver, Super Bronze, Super Copper, and Sunset Gold. It was then got a little black acrylic paint on it and was then coated with Mod Podge in a matte finish, which I think looks the best and doesn't disturbe the feel I wanted for it, though... now that I think of it, the metal would have looked better with a clear coat of nail polish to get a smooth finish... maybe.
Eventually I'm gonna have to set up an Etsy shop and start selling shit. There are a few more pics to go with this as I finished up a few things that should be easy to mold or remake as I need them.
