#21 Babylon
"The first was like a lion and had eagles' wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off,
and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it." Daniel 7:4 (ESV)
The Old Testament prophets called Babylon a lion. A lion with wings was a prominent symbol on Babylonian coins and on Babylon’s walls. The verse was also referring to The Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar, who became insane and walked on all fours for 7 years and then having his right mind restored afterwards.
In Nebuchadnezzar's dream (Daniel 2:32), Babylon was symbolized as the head of gold, hence I gave it a golden crown.

LOL. Actually no...
After all that has happened, Babylon became one of the greatest kingdom through God's favor. King Nebuchadnezzar then became very proud of himself and boasted without giving God credit. He later had a dream which was interpreted by the prophet Daniel as a warning from God. King Nebuchadnezzar didn't heed the warning for 1 whole year and became insane for 7 years until his reason returned to him for which he praised God. (Daniel 4)
So all's well in the end.
