Given my current artistic frustration(I am feeling stagnant stylistically) I have decided to revisit some of my favorite literary characters, and draw them. I started with Anne McCafrrey's Ruth, the white dragon from her Pern books. On his nose is a fire lizard, think of them as being miniature relatives of dragons who are kept as pets.
For those who don't know, dragons on Pern form a mental bond with humans. Ruth is a runt, who's egg would have been left to die, except that a boy named Jaxom cracked the shell and bonded with the pure white dragon. Then, even though everyone insisted he would not survive, Ruth flourished and becoming a very important dragon, capable of very special things due to his very small size. But you should read the fantastic series to find out more!
