A nice shot of my pet Hyllus Giganteus (a 'large' species of jumping spider), from early February. Her abdomen is looking a bit small in these shots because at the time she was refusing to eat anything. Jumpers have quite individual tastes when it comes to prey. I tried her with fruit-flies and mini-crickets before discovering that she absolutely loves mini-mealworms. She's all plump and healthy now. :)

They are a malaysian genus where as Phiddipus are found in america.
BUT HOLY CRAP, cant believe i ran into another exotic jumping spider keeper on FA :D
I dont have any at the moment, but i used to have a few different kinds of Hyllus, Phiddipus, and others.

Haha yeah, I realised that mistake a bit earlier when I went back to look at the breeder's website. Not sure at what point I got those two classifications mixed up, I think I got misinformed on a discussion forum.
That's awesome though. :D She's my first jumper though I can definitely see this being an ongoing hobby for me, they're just so much fun to have around.
