Just saw this in the recent posts and am commenting because I have a few of these.

These guys aren't particularly rare, as they came along with the 1st edition 2-player starter set of the Pokemon TCG.

Yeah, I'm sorry it's not worth more! Even those 23 kt gold cards are worth a few dollars; you'd think they would be worth more.

Maybe. I mean, we thought that about Ty Beanie Babies as well, and they're pretty much worthless too :C

Sadly not as rare as one might think. This is a second series (as it has the shadow along the side of the image) first edition machamp card. These cards came in ever single starter pack and generally came in a protective, sealed cellophane wrap type thing. All machamps are first edition from this set. It is from the first set of Pokemon cards but second gen really as the first gen had more pale colours which they later changed due to counterfeiting issues. Hopefully that helps some :D

Charizard CAN be valuable but it truly depends on which one, what version, and it's condition. You can purchase the entire first set of pokemon cards for about $80 in good condition.
