i know, but they are fine when steven refers to them as shes and most gems do take a feminine look.

I know but a lot of nonbinary people do use she/her pronouns (me!) and it's been brought up before that equating NB people as lesbians based on appearance is a Not Good Thing and it's cool that there are actually characters on TV that are basically designated Not Female or Male! So it's just something to think about in how we phrase our terminology and the way we (often mistakenly) judge peoples gender and sexuality via appearance. Steven Universe is intentionally a show about breaking gender stereotypes and expectations so it's something that I think is important to discuss!
