“Thanks for the tour,” I said to the yellow unicorn after we exited what seemed to be the last facility in the factory, “It was very interesting.” The unicorn turned and looked at me, “The tour hasn’t ended yet, I have one more facility to show you.” My ears perked upon hearing that, “Well go ahead then.” And I followed him to the last facility in the rubber factory.
We now stood before a big steel door, it made me feel a bit nervous, because none of the other doors in the factory were like this one. “Before we enter, I have to warn you not to touch anything,” the unicorn said with a very serious look in his eyes. I nodded in response and watched the pony unlock the door that was marked as the latex drone testing facility.
It didn’t look like any kind of testing room at all, more like a storage room with the barrels lining the wall. I looked at the unicorn in confusion “Are you sure this is a testing facility?” The pony chuckled, “You’ll see in a moment.” As he said that, a panel in the wall slid away and a barrel was pushed into the room. The pony pressed a button on the lid and it opened with a hiss, allowing me to see what was inside.
In it was a black liquid, reflecting the light like rubber did as it moved and stirred, seemingly alive. When I approached the barrel, a small column of the stuff rose out of it, which I watched intrigued. Then it jumped at me, causing the barrel to tip over and spill the latex all over my hind paws. When I tried to step away, I found myself to be firmly stuck to the ground. I tried to to brush the goop away, but it quickly spread to my paw. The latex layered over it, making every digit round and puffy, squeaking when I moved them. When I stopped trying to free myself, I noticed the latex had started spreading all over my legs and arms and I watched in fear as it did.
