"After this I looked, and behold, another, like a leopard, with four wings of a bird on its back.
And the beast had four heads, and dominion was given to it." - Daniel 7:6 ESV
Now this is where it becomes juicy, because when this prophecy came to pass in our world, the prophet Daniel had already passed away.
The third beast in Daniel's vision represented the Greek Empire (Macedonia) and corresponds with the "bronze kingdom" in King Nebuchadnezzar's dream (Daniel 2:32). After Alexander's untimely death at the age of 33, his four generals—Cassander, Lysimachus, Seleucus, and Ptolemy—divided up the empire, hence the four heads.
The leopard is known for both its speed and cunning; a fitting symbol for the kingdom of Greek in view of the swiftness of its conquest, having the most efficient army up to that time. Alexander the Great conquered all of Asia Minor (Turkey) in less than two years, and rapidly expanded in 7 years. Wings were used as a symbol of speed in many parts of the Bible, further emphasizing the rapid conquest of the Grecian Empire.

You are a scholar and a philomath.
I've often thought that Daniel, like Ezekiel, was one of the most interesting prophets of the Ketuvim or the Old Testament. Their works are certainly on a par with anything from Revelations.
On a bit of a tangent, are you familiar with the work of Basil Wolverton? Yeah, yeah, he created the face of Lena the Hyena for Al Capp's Li'l Abner (his picture was selected from over a half-million entries) and he did some illustrations for MAD Magazine, but he also did some incredible Bible illustrations. Might be worth a Google.

Ahahaha, a scholar? Philomath? No one has ever associated me with those words before.
Indeed, all those books are filled with delicious symbolism and prophecies.
No, I'm afraid I haven't heard of him, but thank you for the reference. I'll check him out sometime.
